Aircraft
APUs have several functions for the aircraft. APUs can
provide power to start the main engine, electrical, and
pneumatic power to heating, cooling, and ventilation
systems. It's mostly used when the aircraft is on the
ground and the main engine is not operating. Some APUs
can be used in-flight.
